Trip to Fernadina Beach

We recently took a weekend trip to Fernadina Beach with my parents while my husband was out of town working. Fernadina Beach and Amelia Island is about one hour from our house and we love going there to look through all the cute shops they have in their downtown area. They have lots of antiques , an ice cream parlor, and other specialty shops. On our way home we took the backroads along the coast and let the kids get out and see the water. I love going the back way as you pass Amelia Island Plantation and the Ritz Carlton. It's all so beautiful. If you've never been to this area and are close by I highly recommend it. It's a beautiful town and so relaxing. Plus they have excellent seafood. Yum!!

Here are some pictures from our trip.

One of the oldest homes in Fernadina Beach in the downtown street area.

The post office downtown.

A carriage in the downtown area.

This store here I adore. They are a bakery, old candy shop that is filled with barrels of candy, a ceramics area that the kids can make all kinds of cute things.

Here is the entrance to the store. See that cute bird shelf to the right? I so wanted to get it. I love it.

Here's an upclose of it. Cute isn't it?

The kids eating candy with Papa outside the store.

Here are some pictures of the kids at the beach. They had a blast.

This bench is right as you walk on the beach. I love what it says.
