SUYL: Bathrooms

Today over at Kelly's Korner is Show Us Your Bathroom's. Since we're renting for at least the 1st year since moving here to Texas in July so we could make sure we were in the area we wanted to be in I'm definately limited to what I can and can't do. I hate even having to ask if I can paint. Most of our bathrooms here are still pretty bare and will eventually look alittle better.

This is our downstairs bathroom. I did paint this a neutral color. The owners had it some awful brown color and even the cabinets were painted the same color of brown. It all blended together and just looked awful. I painted the cabinets white and I think it helped some. It works for now and opens the space up instead of being so dark.

That sweet picture is of my smallest child and my husband a month or so ago. I love it. The Wash sign I saw on another blog Craft-O-Manic in her laundry room. I decided just to do one for the bathroom. It didn't turn out nowhere near as cute as her's.

This is the girls bathroom and it's very bare. It has wallpaper as does our master bath. I had originally thought of asking if I could take it down or pay someone to but then I thought I didn't want to waste my money on something that's not mine. It's not as bad to me as our master bath wallpaper. I want a window treatment for that window because it's long but I haven't done it yet.

The counter area

This is Dawson's bath/Guest Bath/Playroom bath.

I won this cute sign in a giveaway a couple of months ago and love it.
This is walking into our bathroom and that's all I'm showing of that bathroom. Ha. The wallpaper makes it way to busy. We have a huge counter space area and a huge bath and shower which is great.
Thanks for visiting.

Missing A Friend On Their Birthday

Since moving here to Texas in July Ansley has made some very good friends. She's made several at church that she just loves and has also made a best friend at preschool named Ava. This is Ava and Ansley recently on our trip to the pumpkin patch. They are two peas in a pod while at school together their teacher says.

They just laugh and giggle when together and Ansley mentions Ava oh about 20 times a day. Well Ava does this and Ava says that. It's so cute and I'm glad Ansley is making some wonderful friends here.

But Ansley also misses her friends back home in Florida. This is her special cousin Kellen. My cousin Tracy and I were pregnant together with Ansley and Kellen and they've always been extremely close and the best of friends. They talk a pretty good bit on the phone but they miss each other.

Today is Kellen's 5th birthday and it seems quite upsetting for Ansley that she's unable to be there and was unable to go to his party yesterday. It breaks my heart. We're going home in alittle over a week and even though we'll celebrate together then it's still not quite the same.

So Happy 5th Birthday Kellen!!!! We love you and will be seeing you in about a week.

A Full Day of Fun

Today was a busy, busy day for us. The kids got to dress up in their costumes for church and after church they had a trunk or treat. There were bounce houses, zip lines, a rock climbing wall, batting cages,a train, pony rides, and candy. They had so much fun. After that we came home for abit so Ireland could take a quick nap then we were back off for a party we were invited to from one of Dawson's best friends in class. His parents have a big party every year where everyone eats then rides a hayride then trick or treats. It was fun and a good way for us to meet more of Dawson's friends and the parents. Everyone is so welcoming here. We then trick or treated for awhile til Ireland gave out.

Here are some pictures from our funfilled day.

The kids at church. Ansley is a wildcat, Dawson is a gangster, and Ireland is a ladybug.

Cute or what?

This is Ireland 2 seconds after buckling her. Tired baby.

This is Dawson and Ben whose party we went to tonight riding the hayride. Doesn't Dawson look so grown. Ha. Loving that mustache. I know he did.

The hayride before we all got on.

Ansley was a Nurse tonight for trick or treating. This costume was mine when I was around her age and it has special meaning to it for 2 reasons. One is my mom made it for me and saved it just for a day like today and two because I'm a nurse and it's sweet seeing her wear this. I didn't let her wear it today to church because I was afraid it would get messed up on all the games and bounce houses.

Does he look the part?

My sweet ladybug.

This picture makes me one proud mama.
I hope your Trick or Treat day was full of fun.
