Doctor Visit, A Book Parade, and a visit to the Pumpkin Patch

Ireland went for her 1 yr. check up today and all is good except she is a peanut at 16 lbs. 14 oz. I have to take her back in a month for a weight recheck. We went through the same thing with Ansley our middle child and came in for weight check after weight check and bloodwork til they realized her growth and curve were perfect she was just growing at her own pace and was small.

She wore this cute outfit that she got for her birthday to her Dr. appt. and brothers book parade even though she was suppose to wear this cute ghost outfit for the occasion but it's almost 90 degrees here today so that wasn't happening.

You can tell she really loves the ghost outfit and I'm sure was so disappointed she didn't get to wear it today.

This is Dawson's school and every year the 3rd graders have a book parade at Halloween where the children dress up as a book character and the 1st and 2nd graders sit in the halls and watch the kids come through and the teachers perform and do skits with their characters. It's really cute.

Dawson's Math Teacher

Dawson as a pirate from his book.

Dawson's Assistant Principal as Old MacDonald and her animals. They sang the song and each animal came up when it was their turn and performed.

After the book parade this am,then the Dr. visit, then Dawson's party we headed over to the pumpkin patch to get pictures and a pumpkin. Every year our Methodist Church here in town puts this pumpkin patch on and it's cute. They have lots of photo props and they even do story time and the kids get small pumpkins for free.

Yes my kids have shorts on at the pumpkin patch. We're not lucky to get the fall weather like alot of the rest of you. We sweat as we pick our pumpkin.

This is the "I'm so done with this day fit." Needless to say we headed home after this picture.

A Party To Remember

This is my birthday girl on her birthday yesterday. She turned 1.

Her party was today and we had so much fun.

These cute little scratch off tickets I had made from ebay. The winner would find a picture of Ireland under their scratch off area.

The winner? Ireland's cousin Kellen. What did he win? A $10 gift card to Wal-mart and he was so excited over his winning.

We feasted on tons of goodies that my mom and I made.

All of Ireland's presents.

Here is my surprise. This is my husband David. He's working out of town for a year in Illinois and has been able to come home for our last two children's birthdays but wasn't suppose to be able to come home for Ireland's. Well the shutdown he was working on went good so he worked til 1:30 am caught a 5 am flight to Jacksonville and made it about 2 hours before the party. I was still cleaning and getting everything ready with the help of my mom when he walked through the door. My father in law picked him up from the airport to surprise me. I had no idea he was coming and it just made my day. I cried and cried. Priceless.

Here's the birthday girl in her birthday outfit.

Bloomers and all.

With the big brother.

This was one of her favorite things. The balloons. I should have just had everybody bring these.

Her table with her picture matte that has her party invite on it that has pictures of her through her 1st year and then a recent picture. I had everyone sign it then I'll hang it in her room in a frame. I did this for Ansley and love it. The box is her time capsule that I made. She'll get to open it when she's 18 and see all the things people from today put in it for her. Ansley and Dawson have one of these also. I made pictures of her and put them in frames for the adult guest and the kids got goodie boxes with her picture on it.

Ireland opening presents.

As you can see she preferred the tissue paper better.

Ireland and her siblings.

Ireland's big cake,her baby cake,and cupcakes.

Singing Happy Birthday to her and she's not sure what's going on.

She's thinking is that all for me? Oh she wishes.

Nope, but this one is and it's oh so yummy.

At the end of the party this is what the kids went home with and although it was a hit and everyone had fun we're tired and so glad it's done til next year. I guess that's what you get for having 3 kids and their birthdays being Aug.,Sept., Oct. Party overload.
